Is The Skin Associate a med spa?
Yes, with a medical-first approach. “Med spa” is how most people search for services like Botox, microneedling, and skincare. But my practice operates more like a medical clinic than a traditional spa.
Who performs the treatments?
Every service is performed by me, Chris Caissie, PA-C. You’re always treated directly by a trained medical provider with years of medical and aesthetic experience. I don’t pass patients off to assistants or technicians.
What should I book if I’m not sure what I need?
Book the treatment you're interested in, they all start with a complimentary consultation! We’ll talk through your goals, review your history, and create a customized plan together. If treatment is appropriate, we can often treat the same day. There’s no pressure to purchase anything. Education comes first.
Will I look frozen or overdone?
No, my approach is subtle and natural. The goal is refreshed, not obvious.
Most people simply look well-rested or more confident, not like they “had something done.” I prioritize preserving your natural facial movement and expressions.
Is there downtime after treatments?
Most treatments have minimal downtime. Tox usually shows small bumps or redness for 20–30 minutes. Microneedling shows some redness for 24–48 hours, similar to a mild sunburn. Skincare provides little to none! Many patients schedule appointments during lunch breaks or between errands.
